*A portion of every race fee is donated to NIMBA (Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association), SWMMBA (Southwest Michigan Mountain Bike Association) and LMB (League of Michigan Bicyclers). Thank you to them and all organizations that support our biking industry and passion. Since our first event in 2014, Heart Smart Events has donated over $22,000 to our local biking community.

On-site Registration

Registration will be available Friday, March 22nd, during packet pickup and on race day if the event has not exceeded 1,000 participants.

Packet Pickup

Early packet pick-up and onsite registration (if we have not exceeded 1,000 riders) will be available at Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area - Friday March 22nd 4pm-7pm and race day starting at 6:30am.

Wave Start

60 Mile race waves start at 9AM, with subsequent waves to start 5 minutes apart. We intend for waves to consist of ~80 racers.

35 Mile race waves start at 10AM, with subsequent waves to start 5 minutes apart. We intend for waves to consist of ~80 racers.

24 Mile race waves start at a time to be announced based on the participation and number of waves in the 35 mile race, with subsequent waves to start 5 minutes apart. We intend for waves to consist of ~80 racers.

IMPORTANT - You must start in your assigned wave, which will be indicated on the back of your number plate. If you start in the incorrect wave, you will be subject to disqualification.

Timing & Results

Timing and results will be provided by Macs Sport Timing. Chrono Track Systems will be used, featuring the disposable B-tag that remains attached to the race number.

The Top 3 in each category of the 24 Mile and 35 Mile categories as well as the Top 5 in the 60 Mile will be determined by Gun Start (who crosses the finish line first). All other results will be determined by chip time.

Results will be posted continuously during the race for review, with results posted here after the completion of the event.

Adverse Weather Policy

Heart Smart Events, LLC reserves the right to delay or cancel the start of MELTING MANN in the event of inclement weather and/or unsafe road conditions. The definition of inclement weather and unsafe road conditions belongs solely to the discretion of the Heart Smart Events, LLC, Race Directors. (Sorry no refunds)

Bring the entire family! Spectator’s welcome. Our celebration area is super inviting with warming fires and table seating scattered throughout.

Melting Mann custom merchandise may be purchased during the online registration process or purchased separately. We offer short and long sleeve jerseys, hoodies, mugs, beanies, growlers, buffs, insulated thermal mugs, hats and T-shirts for purchase. Some items have purchase deadlines, so order early to get your custom Melting Mann Merchandise!

Food & Beverages

In addition to Ron's Beans Coffee, Goshen Brewing Company Brew, Melting Mom Chocolate Chip Cookies and Post Race Snacks a lunch by Q-It Up will be available for purchase with your registration for $12.

Additional meals may be purchased for family members and spectators in advance for $12.00. On the day of our event, the Q-It Up catered meal will be available for purchase at Registration and in our Celebration Area from 12pm-3pm with a Day of $15 purchase, limited to caterer’s supply.

Local Supporters

Melting Mann encourages participants to take advantage of early packet pick-up held from 4pm-7pm on Friday, March 22nd, 2024. We will treat you right on race day but treat yourself the night before by arriving to the area Friday night. Plan for dinner at Jaywalker Restaurant in White Pigeon, The Rock in Marcellus, or Yesterday's of Granger, Indiana.

Photography

Rob Meendering Photography will be taking pictures at the event and will post a link on his site for riders to purchase photos after the race at https://www.robmeenderingphotography.com/.

Music

Join our fun atmosphere, all day music provided by a local DJ.
